台北101大楼，原名台北国际金融中心，地上101层，地下5层，总高度508米，是目前世界第四高楼。101大楼坐落于台北信义区最繁华地段，是台湾建筑界有史以来最大的工程专案。大厦由国际级建筑大师李祖原精心设计，以中国人的吉祥数字 8 ( 发 的谐音)为设计单元，即八层为一个结构单元，整体外观上具有律动的美丽。台北101大楼于1999年7月开工，2003年10月竣工，造价共达五百八十亿元台币。
